RSI Wins Connecticut Department of Revenue Services Collections Analytics Project
April 6, 2012. Pembroke, MA – Revenue Solutions, Inc. (RSI), a company that specializes in providing revenue and compliance management products and services specifically to Federal, State and Municipal government revenue, labor and child support agencies, is pleased to announce that the Connecticut Department of Revenue Services (DRS) has selected RSI to implement several Collections improvement programs, including Risk Based Modeling.
The scope of services for the project includes the development and deployment of a Collection Scoring Solution. The project is segmented into two distinct but interrelated and dependent phases – an initial phase for the core deployment and a second phase to extend the system. The first phase focuses on the delivery and implementation of the core Collection Scoring Solution using an Experiential Scoring Model and corresponding Treatment Scenarios within DRS’ tax processing system. The second phase focuses on incorporating additional sources of information and creation of a Statistical Scoring Model to further enhance the scoring process, implementation of a Reporting Data Mart, creation of a custom view for collector research in the Revenue Premier Portfolio Warehouse, and creation of custom collection related alerts that are driven by additional information within the Portfolio Warehouse.
The project leverages existing DRS hardware and software, uses historical taxpayer information in the Portfolio Warehouse and the tax processing system, and applies RSI’s proven TaxAnalytics Framework modeling methodology to develop predictive models to score collection cases and apply tailored workflow and treatment scenarios through collections case management and workflow functionality already implemented in the tax processing system, and thereby improve collector productivity. The Collection Scoring Solution will take a systematic approach to case assignment and inventory balancing and prioritization.
The first phase of the Collection Scoring Solution is to be delivered in June 2012, while the second phase is to be delivered by October 2012.
